Our minds can imagine the wildest dreams, which may or may not be achievable, but it’s no news that we all dream big.
Dreaming may be the start of the journey, but to take an idea or goal into reality we have to do the work of breaking our goal or dream down into smaller steps and actioning them for it to be achievable. Many people make the mistake of trying to do too many things at the same time and they end up crashing the whole idea.
Starting any big goal comes with great effort, but all it needs is that first single step. Just a single step that is critical to setting you on the path of achieving your goal and determining your success.
Follow the Process
Even for new ideas, many tried and true processes already exist so it’s logical to take advantage of these where you can. For example – if you want to make a movie, you need to write a script first; if you to be a photographer, you need a camera first.
These are the first and single steps you need to take that will determine the outcome of the big goal.
Don’t Overthink it
The more you overthink an idea and how to do it, the more difficult it is to accomplish. It could become bigger in your head and end up becoming scarier, giving you the feeling you can’t accomplish it. One way to ally your fears may be to consult with experts in the field or get knowledge from people with experience. Taking action can also be very empowering.
It is important to understand that you can’t have control over everything. Trust in the process and steps you’re following.
Know that some things will be out of your control but take responsibility. Take charge of your actions and invest in yourself as you move towards your goal.
You Don’t Need to Start Big
Starting, or taking action towards the outcome you’re striving for is the main thing! Starting, whether big or small is the important thing. So don’t get hung up on making a big splash.
Just Do It
When you have an idea in your head that you’re really invested in, you want to work on it.
Instead of contemplating if it will work out or not, Just do it!
